| On the morning of September 11, 2001, four commercial passenger jet liners were hijacked by terrorists. The hijackers crashed two of the airliners into the World Trade Center in New York City, one into each of the towers. A third airliner was crashed into the pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia. A fourth airliner was crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. This page is a tribute to all those who lost their lives on the most horrific attack on American soil.
